Education
I am a freshman Bio/Chem Major at St. John Fisher College. I don't have a set GPA yet since the first semester is not finished, but I finished high school with a 4.26 weighted GPA.
Experience:
I tutored for the National Honor Society at my high school for two years in math. I tutored one student privately in algebra for about a year. I recieved a 29 cumulative score on the ACT and a 2170 on the SAT. I love to tutor because I enjoy helping people understand the things that would otherwise pull them down in a subject. I've taken Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II/Trig, Pre-Calc, and Calculus, receiving an A in every subject. In the sciences, I have taken Earth Science, Biology I, Chemistry I, Physics I, Chemistry AP, Biology AP, and Anatomy I. My English courses have consisted of English I, World Literature, Language and Composition AP, and English 12. I am most comfortable in the math and science areas, but I do also enjoy writing and reading.
Hobbies:
My name is Amy. I've lived in Connecticut, Rochester, and Las Vegas. I believe I am an easy-going person for the most part. I enjoy helping people, probably because I love school. I am a geek in the truest sense. I am patient, but I also keep on task for the most part. I have played the flute for eight years now, so I love music and will often play it while I'm studying. I love the Patriots and I enjoy watching hockey, especially by the end of the season when the players haven't cut their hair or shaved in months. I have been babysitting since I was 12, so I'm good with kids of all ages and I'll try to make this experience as pleasant as possible!
